The hotel, located in a beautiful village setting, offers a mixed experience with wonderful service but outdated rooms in need of refurbishment. The location is great for exploring East Lothian and beyond, but be ready for some hilly terrain. The rooms overlooking the village green were spacious but desperately need refurbishment. The large, dark furniture made the room feel cramped and some items seemed unnecessary. Unfortunately, the room got quite cold in the early morning hours.
